Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy

It is the psychological process of bringing one’s attention to experiences occurring in the present moment, which can be developed through the practice of meditation and other training.

Our sessions at Soulsphere, inculcate these mindfulness-based practices of focusing, stillness and meditation, to help an individual stay in the present moment.

Mindfulness refers to bringing one’s attention to present experience on a moment to moment basis characterized by curiosity, non-judgment and acceptance. all the time.

Mindfulness helps you,

  • Become familiar with the workings of your mind.

  • Notice when you begin to get caught in old habits of the mind that reactivate downward mood spirals.

  •  Explore ways of releasing yourself from old habits and if you choose, enter a new way of being.

  •  Get in touch with a different way of knowing yourself and the world.

  •  Notice small beauties and pleasures in the world around you instead of living in your head.

  • Be kind to yourself instead of wishing things were different or driving yourself to meet impossible goals.

  • Accept yourself as you are, rather than judging or battling with yourself all the time.

At Soulsphere we offer one-on-one sessions in Mindfulness-based Psychotherapy, as well as workshops.
